The Golden Age began with The Hawk and The Clock hitting the streets of New York City in 1936. It came to a rather uncerimonious end with Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters telling Senator Joe McCarthy and the HUAC where they could put their so-called patriotism and disappearing in the middle of hearings in 1952.
